The Government Procurement Services Agency (GPSA) has released the names of suppliers of goods and providers of services who have been awarded framework agreements for the financial year 2019/20, TPJ has learnt.

Following the Notice of Intention to award framework agreements issued in May 2019, GPSA tender board awarded framework agreements to the successful tenderers, whereby the award was made pursuant to Regulation 231(5) & (6) of Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 (as amended).

The event is the culmination of a tendering process for procurement of common-use items and services that commenced in early July 2019, attracting the participation of 11,237 tenderers from whom 10,808, equivalent to 96.18 percent, submitted responsive bids.

In comparison with last year’s figures, the agreements, which are valid from July 2018 to June 2019, it is clear that there has been a significant improvement in the understanding and bidding for common-use items and services agreements, as evidenced by a remarkable increase of 675 tenders, equivalent to 6.25 percent.

In accordance with the public procurement law, GPSA advertises tenders for common-use items and services in February each year through GPSA’s website (, PPRA’s website ( and PPRA’s Tanzania Procurement Journal.

The framework agreement system is intended to reduce procurement costs and enable procuring entities to access relevant information.

The list of goods suppliers and service providers who were awarded framework agreements is available on GPSA’s website
